Background: I'm Malaysian of Chinese ethnicity. My origin and current location is Kuala Lumpur. My education is just at diploma level as my family income is below the typical middle-class. The house I grew up in is rented and I'm currently staying in a rented room away from my family but strategically located for working & traveling. I do not own car and I'm using a mobile phone that's more than 3 years old.
Age: 27
Occupation: Graphic Designer
Money Philosophy: I spend less than I earn, and practice savings that's 35% of my salary. I do not own a credit card, and I don't involve in debts other than my 8K college loan which I'm still owing, I'm planning to repay the loan with my EPF which should be sufficient now.
Short-Term Financial Goals: I'm a forex trader and I want to gain consistently, and build my capital from there. Saving is just too slow. After 10 months of training and based on my gain percentage, I'm confident that forex is my first stepping stone to financial freedom. I want to retire by the age of 30.
Long-Term Financial Goals: Learn about real estate/properties investment, build a stronger investment portfolio, build passive income, then retire young, and hopefully rich. Main motivation is not being a slave to jobs and having my free time to spend on my hobbies like traveling and gourmet-hunting. Fancy cars and bungalows are not my goals, but it's good to have.
