I have been hearing some buzz around China Mineral Company, and know that they are opening up shares to investors soon. Is now a good time to invest in gold? Does anyone have more information on China Mineral Company?

I am also interested in this question, and have done some research on this company - China Mineral Co. They look very solid, and have a strong reputation in Asia. They also have a unique position within the market due to some partnership with the Chinese government. The general consensus is that they are a very solid company.

There is also a strong consensus that the gold market is expected to rise as long as the Fed keeps borrowing rates low. With Bernanke's recent announcement that this is exactly his intention, it seems gold is a stable investment.

I am interested, however, in your appraisal of the gold market. I agree that the market is connected to the market for U.S. dollars, but I am not sure the U.S. dollar will be kept low in the long long term. Perhaps 5 years, but longer than that is uncertain, at least to most analysts in the field. I would therefore add to this post that gold appears a stable investment in the mid term, but its prospects are uncertain in the long term (+5 years).

Yes, I would have to agree that it is nearly impossible to predict the long term market with any accuracy but I do not see gold prices falling in the foreseeable future. With the dollar continuing to weaken, and with low borrowing rates, central banks and investors will continue to use gold as a hedging tool. I believe that it won't be long until gold prices hit 1,500/ oz and that they will stay there for a long time.

As for China Mineral Company, I am beginning to think it would be a shame to miss out on an investment opportunity like this one. But that's just my opinion.

I have also been thinking about investing in gold because I heard about the positive situation in China. There is always a little risk, but investing in gold seems to be a quite good investing opportunity. I am always checking out the risks and the possibilities but now I have the feeling that it is the right time to do this
