Re: Public Bank Gold AccountHi KC & All, I think Public Gold Investment is pretty good vehicle except its roughly 3.2% spread (between their buying and selling) is a bit stiff. Entry timing is pretty important too. This link is my latest sharing in my blog http://www.talkonlymah.blogspot.com <http://talkonlymah.blogspot.com/2008/06/gold-investment-thru-public-bank-berhad.html> Bye and Good Luck!

Re: Public Bank Gold AccountLately there has been a lot of talk on the possibility of Comax default for gold. If this happens, All paper gold will be worth near to zero! or will be standing still at the last trading price, which is way lower than it should be. Banks might just implement force majeure and pay all the paper gold holders in worthless fiat money. Any one has any comments on this?
Re: Public Bank Gold AccountContemporary I am thinking about investing some money in gold but I am an absolute newbie. Does it generally make sense at that time investing money in gold? Lately the gold rate went up again, didn't it? What about the gold rate in general: Is it rather stable in the long run? Would appreciate your help. thank you in advance
Re: Public Bank Gold Account
I agree with that, indeed buying paper gold has much risk especially when currency starting to fail, we fall together with the government.
